Much excitement from the Eiffel Tower today, despite a 2 hour delay in the tower opening, and a long and cold wait!! All travellers were still enthusiastic and full of excitement as we ascended in the lift, anticipating a wonderful view of the city! None of us were disappointed - all fabulous! Love to all at home. By the end of our stay in Paris we had become reasonably comfortable using the Metro. It was great to get around on and I am sure we will all remember packing on during peak hour to get to the Eiffel Tower this morning. When we went back to our hotel tonight after our Seine River cruise, there was far more space.

Today was spent on our feet! We got up after a nice sleep in, ate breakfast and hopped on the the metro train to go to the Louvre. We all saw the famed Mona Lisa, just getting close to it was a challenge! After spending all morning and lunchtime wandering around the Louvre we boarded the Paris underground train system and went to the home of the French Republican Guard. A somewhat hectic metro journey to the Notre Dame Cathedral established a picturesque setting of historical architecture and opulent interior design as experienced during yesterday's visit to the Palace. After attending Mass, we were given the opportunity to climb to the bell tower which, according to Mr Mueller, was, "totes defs amazing."
