We started the day with a band rehearsal and then hopped in the bus and traveled to Brugge to go to lunch and do some shopping. As we were making our way down to lunch we saw many beautiful buildings with so much history and lovely canals. For lunch we went to a wonderful outdoor restaurant within the town square. Mrs Dowling had a magnificent pot of white wine mussels. Most of our group tried them but Abbey couldn't swallow it because she found it disgusting. We heard we had to tip the waiter and we where very unsure how much because we don't tip back in Australia. Next we went souvenir and chocolate shopping. All of us bought so many things for ourselves, family and friends. We had all heard how great Belgium's waffles are and we were all excited to try them. We found a small little waffle shop and they were amazing. It turned out that it was the best waffle shop in Brugge. While we walked around town we saw many horse and carriages. We all decided to go on one. We split into two, Mrs Dowling, Austin, Kristin and McKenzie, and Sarah D, Abbey, Shelley and Sarah F. The carriage and horse ride went for 30 minutes and cost 40 euros. Sarah D managed to get us a very lovely driver, Corneal, who showed us around the town. We tried to get a group photo of ourselves with him but Abbey found herself distracted as she was gazing at Corneal, which was hilarious. The ride was amazing and we never thought we would ever be having a horse and carriage ride in Belgium. After the horse and carriage ride we met up with the rest of the group and went on a boat ride down the canal which was beautiful. After the ride we found a restaurant and had a delicious dinner.
