Drove from Mount Gambier along the Princes Highway to Port Fairy, we stopped to get Candice a postcard and have lunch, from here we're officially on the Great Ocean Road. We'd noticed a change in the landscape from South Australia that was really baron and flat to a more mountainous and lush landscape into woodland in Victoria. As soon as we were on the Great Ocean Road the views along the coast were amazing, we stopped at the Bay of Islands, an inlet with limestone rock formations out in the sea similar to the 12 Apostiles that we saw futher down the road. It was obviously more tousisty and so very busy, had a funny moment when I looked up the hill to the main viewing area and saw Tom standing amongst a group of Chinese snappers looking less than amused. There are only 8 of the Apostiles left now too. After the 12 Apostiles the Great Ocean Road then goes up Lavers Hill which was so twisty, Tom loved it, I was feeling sick. Past Apollo Bay, Lorne and stopped for the night in Anglesea. Backpackers but had our own room and there 's only one other girl staying, it's run by 2 eccentric women who seem really nice.
