We got to Beacon Hill Reserve within an hour and a bit, there's a look out over the town of Robe, the sea and around. The seaside town of Robe was really pretty lots of cafes and restaurants, it had a nice feel to it. We drove through Millicent which looked on the map like it was going to be a fairly big town but...it wasn't, so we had lunch and carried on through the barron landscape to Mount Gambier in the hope that there'll be somewhere to stay and things to see. We headed straight for the blue lake in the hills, it really was such a pure blue and very clear, it's the supply of drinking water for Mount Gambier too. Drove around town, got some supper and headed back to Pine Lakes, getting really cold in the evenings.
