Only 12 more sleeps until I leave for Europe so decided I would write my first blog entry. I went into House of Travel Friday afternoon and picked up our Contiki and travel documents. So excited to finally get my Contiki documents. They came in a black contiki wallet with a bright orange zip. Inside are my Contiki tour vouchers (for both our European Contrasts tour and the Aegean Classic cruise), our itinerary, a list of optional activities, a list of all our accommodation, information about luggage limits, a tag to go on your suitcase and a voucher for a free travel sim card. Poppa recently won a travel sim at golf and kindly gave it to me so I'll be using that one while I'm travelling. We still didn't have flights from Holland to Greece booked so I asked our travel agent if he could have a look at a one way flight for us while I was there. The cheapest he could do it was for roughly $1200!! So I ended up booking them myself online with Aegean Airlines. It worked out to be about $353 NZ, including airport taxes etc so it wasn't too bad. Over the weekend I went and bought most of the last little bits and pieces that I needed. There are only a few more things left that I need to get: more sugar baby, another pair of black tights (apparently it's still pretty cold at the moment in the UK and around the top parts of Europe), a white singlet, ear plugs, bobby pins and some black pens and twistable crayola colouring pencils for my journal. I put everything out on my bed yesterday to start getting it all organised for packing. It looked like so much stuff!! Hopefully it all fits in my suitcase okay and doesn't weigh too much. We're having a bbq with family and friends on Saturday night to catch up with everyone before we leave. I'm really excited, but am going to miss my family, friends and my pets lots too! Will update my blog again soon xx
