We're now about three hours into our first flight to Bangkok. I'm thinking that the combination of only having a couple of hours sleep last night and the long flight today is going to make for a very long day. We didn't finish packing and get into bed until around 2.00am. Then we left home at 6am this morning and arrived at Auckland Airport just before 9am. Tonight is my last night in New Zealand. We're staying at Dad's tonight because he's taking us to the airport in the morning. Gail cooked us homemade fish and chips for dinner. They were really yummy. It was nice to be able to have a real Kiwi meal before we left. I also had a few glasses of L&P. I'm going to miss not being able to drink that for the next couple of months. We still have lots of packing to finish off. Hopefully we're not up too late.

Only 12 more sleeps until I leave for Europe so decided I would write my first blog entry. I went into House of Travel Friday afternoon and picked up our Contiki and travel documents.
