So It has been a while since I updated the blog, but i'm making it up by posting a number of photos. This past week has been a lot of fun. Lot's of new friends and some good bye's but it's been great. I'm really settling into cape town and the life i'm making for myself here. Work has been about the same. Not a whole lot going on, but i'm not the only one. It should pick up soon i'm told and in the mean time my boss has set up a hike for me with his son's on table mountain. The most exciting news is that I'm learning to scuba dive. That's right the boy who can't swim is becoming and man and scuba diving. I've been told it's called gaining my soul. Whatever, I passed a swim test first, 200m and 10 minutes of treading water and then on to the diving. I spent all day saturday in the pool learning different skills like clearing my mask, how to maintain bouyancy and a bunch of others. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. We read a book before everything and in there a lot of stuff seemed like common sense. When I got in the pool it was all a lot harder. On sunday I did my first open water dive. We did a shore dive and it wen't ok. It was very cool being able to go underwater and breath well. We swam through a kelp forest and I made it part way through a cave. I say part way because I was having a lot of trouble equalizing and my ear's hurt really badly. I also got vertigo which made me very disorianted and kind of sick to my stomach. So I finished the dive and headed to shore. The rest did another, which I will do later. It sucked and i felt like crap, but you've got to start somewhere. After talking with one of my instructors, I felt a lot better. He related a story of his to me where he also had a bad experience and could relate to how bad it was today. Anyway I will try it again, and after some time I'm sure I will figure it out.

We'll that's all I've got for now, but check out the pictures. I uploaded 3 new albums. The Braai is what south africans call a barbecue. All the people in my compound of houses had it friday night to say good by to a couple of people who lived in the houses, brianna and lynche.
