Day 13 01/06/2013 Alice Springs to Dunmarra Roadhouse. So........we drove over 800km today.....a little like traversing the UK from top to bottom.... although I doubt you could do that at an average speed of 100km/hr!!! We used the Stuart Highway........ this road does deserve the highway tag, since it is sealed all the way from Adelaide in the south to Darwin in the north, a distance of some 3,000 km Between Alice Springs and Katherine, where we will turn off...

Day 12 31/05/2013 Alice Springs Last night was our first really warm night, so the fleecy PJs were discarded in favour of summer-weight ones! It was also unseasonably hot here today.....around 29 degrees...but there are no flies and it is not humid. Of course we were without our vehicle all day, so we did a lot of walking to pass the time. Day 11 30/05/2013 Alice Springs To cut a long story short we found a welder to fix the shock absorber back on! A really great guy who did the job in a couple of hours. Of course we had to pack up and leave the caravan park.....but that's ok, we are back now....in a different spot! We had a wander through town and a coffee to pass the time. Day 10 Jervois Station to Alice Springs (although that wasn't the plan!) I don't think I have mentioned that since leaving Tibooburra we have had the most amazingly beautiful clear, sunny days; and lovely moonlit evenings....until about two nights ago.....when the moon has been rising later at night and beginning to wane somewhat. We woke this morning to cattle in our campground, nibbling on some tufts of grass....but that was ok, we didn't mind sharing our spa...

Day 9 28/05/2013 Boulia to Jervois Station We were up early, and on the road by 7.30am. We enjoyed our short stay in Boulia......... home to the mysterious 'Min-Min' lights and annual Camel Races. Typical of most Outback towns, Boulia has a fuel Station, a pub, a shop and an Information Centre.
