Day 23 11/06/2013 Charnley River Station. We had time for a cooked breakfast this morning .......no packing up to do....it's great when we camp for more than one night! On this property there are several gorges and waterholes to visit and explore, and that is what we did today. Day 22 10/06/2013 Manning Gorge to Charnley River Station. The walk to Manning Gorge takes around 2 hours there and back, and with a swim included it takes around three hours, so we couldn't attempt it yesterday, as it was too late. There's a sign warning people not to set off later than 2pm. So this morning we packed up our camper and headed off for the walk at 6.45am. Day 21 09/06/2013 Mitchell Plateau to Manning Gorge. After saying goodbye to our new friends we left the Mitchell Plateau before 7am. There is only one road in and out, so we pretty much knew that we had a long drive ahead of us. Again the most noticeable wildlife, apart from birds, was the dingo. One even came out of the bush and chased us for several metres down the track! We stopped at the King Edward River for coffee. There were quite a few oncoming vehicles...

Day 20 08/06/2013 Mitchell Falls. Once again we were up early, having heard the dingoes howling just before dawn! We also heard a dingo (we assumed) in the night, scrabbling about very close to our camper.....and that would be because, a certain person, (me,), had left the scrunched-up wrapping from a block of chocolate in our sink, instead of putting it into our secure garbage bag! Day 19 07/06/2013 Drysdale River Station to Mitchell Falls campground. Surprisingly we were on the road by 6.30am! 1km down the track we came to another crossing of the Drysdale River. Although there was water over it, there was a ford, so no problem at all. The route was very pretty.....tall open eucalyptus woodland. There were plenty of water crossings to keep us on our toes....some needed to be checked for depth and possible holes, but most were ok. It took u...
