Wow, last day. Definitely time to get the girls an all day pass for the Adventuredome, Wess as well to accompany Talari as she is determined to go on the big roller coasters and I'm certainly not taking her!!! Sienna is a bit disappointed to begin with as her pass (based on height) doesn't allow her to access most of the bigger rides but we aren't sure she would have liked them anyway. They start small, riding the carousel because there is a cat and Talari wanted to 'ride on Prim'!!! Then they head to a 4D movie and some laser challenges. Time for the big stuff.....Sienna stays with us while Wess and TJ tackle the 2 big coasters. I must admit that I thought she'd do one and then stop but no, by the time Sienna had a couple of rides and we found them again, both coasters had been ridden. I think they freaked Talari out a bit though as she declared it was time for us to head out for some further exploration of the strip.
We headed off, grabbed an all day bus pass and made our way to Mirage casino to visit Siegfried and Roy's Secret garden. This casino has a collection of dolphins and big cats including three white lion cubs so the girls were quite excited about this visit. Amazingly, this casino has about 10 dolphins, 3 white tigers, 1 orange tiger, 2 white lions, 3 white lion cubs and a jaguar!!! The girls, Talari in particular, loved the big cats and we had to drag her away from the cubs who spent our whole visit playing in a cardboard box. Guess lions really are just bigger versions of our pets after all....lol. We caught up with Mum and Joan and headed off to explore Caeser's Palace casino......OMG!! This place is insane!! As we wandered through a three story shopping mall we found ourselves walking down a huge street with shops on either side and a massive domed roof painted like the night sky. This mall went on and on and on until it opened into a plaza with a version of Italy's Trevi fountain in the middle. It was truly amazing! A bit further on and we came across a crowd enjoying one of the many free 'shows' put on by the casinos throughout each day. Caeser's show is performed by moving statues and it is a story based on Atlantis. Very cool. It was decided that dinner would be at the Cheesecake Factory if we could get in. The wait time was estimated to be about 2 hours so we made the plan to return in the afternoon and......wait!!
We then bussed it back to Circus for round number 2 in the Adventuredome, leaving Mum and Joan somewhere up the strip to have a flutter! The girls had a go at all the smaller rides, some of which were quite enjoyable still even for Talari. They rode most of the rides on offer, some multiple times and then we decided to head back to the Cheesecake Factory.
Mum and Joan were madly texting us about 20 minutes later to say they had secured us a table but if we weren't there in 10 we would have to wait again. We were about to get off the bus but knew we would never get through Caeser's in ten minutes. That mall is seriously huge!!! When we arrived we had missed our time but were only 10 minutes from the next available time so all good. Dinner was delicious and we needed to walk to let it settle so out we went to watch some other free shows in their night time glory.
We watched the synchronised fountains at the Bellagio and the volcano at Mirage before heading back across the strip to get the bus home. We visited the Flamingo casino as well to see their bird ponds. On the way to the bus stop we has to pass a few casinos and what seemed like the seedier side of the strip. Wow, the girls saw some interesting things there. Showgirls in G-strings, Slu**y cops beating men with batons and plenty of other mind boggling entertainment. The funniest thing was that throughout our whole trip Sienna has made mention of the fact that when you go to see animals they are most often laying with their butt toward you, she labelled this butt view! Well the G clad girls simply bamboozled her. She was astounded at that type of butt view, so many times she asked, 'So, is that actually her skin?'. It was very funny.
Back at Circus, we said goodbye to Mum and Joan as they would be leaving earlier than us, packed our gear and headed to bed, tired but also a bit sad to be leaving this surreal place in the morning.
