So, Krabi has been our first stop in Thailand, we've stayed here for 8 nights, and well, it rained pretty much everyday at one point or another. When the storms hit, the lightening bounces off the cliffs giving some amazing views... but that's the only good thing we can say about the weather. Apparently, before we came, it had been constant sunshine for a whole week, we must have brought the British weather with us.
Over the time we spent here, we must have heard "lady, waaan' massaaaaaaage?", which after the second time of hearing became the most annoying thing! Also quite funny, depending on whether they took your polite "No thank you" the first time, and not the tenth - the latter was usually the case!
Although the weather wasn't always fantastic, we certainly kept ourselves busy; general exploring, elephant trek through the jungle, a Thai cookery class, and a visit to the doctors!
There were a couple of powercuts, on the day we had our cookery class, the whole of Krabi had no electric for about 10 hours as they were setting up a new powerline or power system (something like that), we were told this was being done before the high season started, which is November 1st, as Krabi was becoming more in demand therefore their power supply had to be increased, well, that's what we were told was happening.
Candy managed to barter Emma a few bargains from some of the stalls along the beachfront, although she did start off with offering everyone a pound!
Off to Koh Lanta tomorrow, heard the weather's going to be pretty much the same. So much for getting a tan!
