Emma's Florence Adventure
Today I made the best meal I've ever cooked for myself: I made spaghetti alla carbonara! It is a spaghetti dish, typical of Rome, with an egg and cheese sauce, topped with bacon bits that have been browned in garlic and olive oil. It was so good, I've cooked it for two meals! Definitly a dish I'm going to keep making once back in California.
The other big news of the day is that I fell down on my way to the kitchen this morning. I was just walking across the tile floor into the kitchen when my feet slipped out from under me (to the left) and I broke my fall with my right knee/elbow and the glass I was carrying to the sink, which shattered all over the floor. Luckily I'm okay, but I'll be sore tomorrow, and maybe the next day, too.
