It is now the end of week two beginning week three here in Palma. the warranty work is going well but there area some supply hold ups so we will be here a bit longer - of course. The marina is booked out after the 30th so who knows what then if eveything is not completed. Probably have to anchor out for a bit then find another marina to go to for finishing off things. We are in Pantalan Mediterraneo with all the super yachts and are feeling quite small! the ammount of provisioning trucks from delis and flowwer deliveries and crew arrivals are quite something. We imagine all he sirs and madams looking over at us and thinking "how quaint - they do their own laundry etc".
I was thinking of listing the jobs we are doing that have nothing to do with drinking champs on the flybridge at sundown then decided to leave you with that imprssion rather than the reaiity which is more like sorting through unidentifiable boat spares, making a library for instruction manuals and still trying to understand watermaker read outs in French.
We've been on a few more bike trips. it really is a pretty city with lits of interesting architecture not to mention the very famous, huge cathedral.
It is Peter's birthday today so I have booked a nice garden setting in an ancient courtyard. I had ordered a small (10") scale model of Chat Eau Bleu for him but it is not complete yst so he had to make do with a photo of the progress. it should be really nice. they are customising it with all our bits and pieces like the kayaks, solar panels etc from photos I sent them.

Mark Happy Birthday Pete !!!!! What a lovely idea to have a scale model made of Chat Eau Bleu ! And amazing how detailed it will be ! Tell me - will it include the smashed solar panel? You know, the one which that crew member put his foot through that time when he was hauling down the mainsail by hand in a ten-meter swell off Sydney Heads by himself in the dark, I’m sure you remember. That guy’s bravery was nothing less than heroic in my opinion, no other way to describe it.
Mandy Mark, what a Herculean effort that must have been and I'm sure the intrepid hero managed the mainsail with great aplomb and valorous intent. And happy birthday Pete! Hope you had a provision and flower delivery all of your very own for the day. And does the Chat Eau Bleu model include the underpants hanging on the line?
Ella Why don’t they just buy a set of signal flags instead of using underpants all the time? I don’t get it.
