We got dropped off in Seminyak down the main street. Th etraffic here is possibly worse than Thailand!! There are scooters everywhere and they dont stop for anyone! If the roads are busy the just go on the paths, and will literally drive on the backs of your feet! We hadnt any accomodation booked so walked for about 10/15c mins to find somewhere but in 32 degrees plus and with a heavy backpack on it felt alot further! For the last 5 mins Mike had his bag on his back and my bag on his front!!

Alot of the buget accomodation out here is set back down alleys off the main roads etc. Me and Mike saw a sign which said "Room + Pool", so we headed down this track where a guy then walked us further to the end and unlocked a gate, we were both abit curious at first. As the gate opened there was a massive house with a garden etc, we went in and it had a kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms, and for 12 quid a night we said yes very quickly!! After running round the house like kids we headed for our private pool which was small but really really nice. Later that night we got changed and were heading for a certain street which our lonely planet book said had lots of bars and restuarants down, it took us about 20 mins to walk there, which isnt that far but the paths (or lack of!) are so bad out here, there are just massive holes everywherre, with bits of metal sticking out all over the place! So by the time we found Jl Oberoi, we were dripping as usual!!

We ended up eating in a nice restuarant called rumours, I had good old lasagne and Mike had a pizza. I also had a glass of wine which is really rare out here as its really expensive! After dinner we had drinks then headed back. Once we were back in our house it was actually quite scary, there were people in the house next to us but other than that it felt like no one was around and we had this massive house!! We stayed up talking about plans for OZ etc and managed to get to sleep albeit a massive storm!!

The next day we got up and went to the beach, the beach isnt brilliant here and you cant really swim in it as it has some really bad riptides, so we just walked along the beach then watched an ozzy guy do a bungy jump over a pool! Later that day we just relaxed by our pool. In the evening we decided to walk to the shopping centre and bowling in Kuta, it took us about 25 mins, but it was a good walk as there are so many bars and shops the whole way. We also stopped in maccy D's for a cheeseburger each as our curry flavour pasta we cooked for dinner didnt quite fill us up, lol!! We then went bowling in the most dodgeyist and oldskool bowling alley, it was good tho and of course Mike won!! We had a walk around the shopping centre here but when you dont have money to spend its not as fun!

On our way back we stopped at the Ocean Beach Club for a drink which has a dancefloor over the pool then got a taxi back as were both too tired to walk it! Before we left the house that night, i went to turn the light off in our room and i screamed as there was a big lizard (see pics!) in the top corner of our room, when we got back it had gone somewhere, so every so often when we went to sleep we kept checking it wasnt in bed with us!!

We decided to only stay in Seminyak 2 nights as we wanted to be in accomodation that wasnt so seculded, especially at night, so the next morning we got a taxi back to Kuta.
