Trying to update at least once or twice a week but it gets hard when theres so many things going on and now that school has finally started I have less time. But WOW what a crazy three weeks it has been! 3 weeks?! what? where did the time go? It feels like I have been here for much longer actually.
Let's see what have I been up to the last week.... well after the Dolphin Swim which I will explain briefly, its hard to explain over the internet. But essentially went on a catamaran and spotted many many many dolphins come right up to the boat. Then we would all rush to the back of the boat and grab onto a rope. When the instructor said swimmers ready four at a time would slide into the water rather abrubtly and go to the end of the line as quick as possible so the rest of the group could get in and see the dolphins before they would swim off. It took about 3 tries for me to finally see the dolphins swim underwater only a few meters away from me. I saw one swimming in and out of the water so peacefully from so close. It was just beautiful and amazing and I am so lucky and glad I had the chance to see/do it.
I went to Uni every day last week for the events and shows. There were games, comedy shows, music, food, and many other things. I know thursday I went to the uni comedy show, it was about two hours long and filled with Australia's funniest men. It was enjoyable and a good laugh. Every Thursday is international night as this one club where every international student pretty much goes. It's a blast! They also play pretty much all American music so thats really awesome. Over the weekend I went to the South Australian Museum where I was able to see all kinds of indigenous art from the Southern hemisphere and part of Oceania. Some very incredible and creative art in there. It was quite enjoyable to see and I hope to check out a few more museums as well.
I'm starting to get my feel of Adelaide and where to go, the places to go, and the different events to attend. So many things to do and see in my 5-6 months here. I feel that I have already been able to do so many things and I'm really looking forward to everything else that occurs and that I will be able to take part in.
To cap it off, I'm loving Australia! Everything about this place is amazing the people, the cultures, the food, the events, and the fun. I'm very excited that my classes have started and I feel that it will be a great semester. However, very nervous about the exams seeing as almost all my classes have a final worth 60% of the grade! yes thats right 60%! But until then I will do my readings and assignments and go to tutoring just as I would back home. The semester is offically underway and here is a continuation to the ride of my life!
