First day of the tour starts here. So the plan is to visit the town of Chiang Mai, I kind of figured it’s gonna be where I went myself yesterday but it wasn’t which was amazing.
We visited the temple - I forget the name - have flowers to Buddha and made a wish. Before being taught how to give respect the Buddhist way. There was an event going on at the same time which meant we were given free food and drinks bought with the donations to the temple.
The ride to the next place was testing my fears for sure. We were driven in an open truck up a hill that seemed to last forever. Winding up into the mountains was one of the things I’d not banked on when booking - why I’m not sure as everywhere abroad seems to have treks into the upper heights.
I impressed myself - journeying up so high and then eating our lunch on bamboo straw floor hanging over the edge - technically trees were in the way, but I managed sitting there very relaxed if with a slight awareness of the movement of the bamboo.
