Coming into land on the first flight of this trip. 6 in total. If anything it’ll reduce the nerves I have of flying.
Flying for 11:30 hours and we’re touching down at sunrise. Feels odd if anything as I usually manage to sleep on flights yet I’ve had a full row to myself and I’ve not slept a wink. The stewards are busying themselves around the cabin despite it suggesting we have 15 mins to touch down.
I always dread the airports near water - never quite sure how the pilots work out how to stop without drifting off into it.
Question for a pilot - how do you learn how not to overshoot the runway?
