Hi all, So, we're finally in Cambodia...! quite a trip...we left Bangkok at 8am yesterday and arrived in Siem Reap at 8:30pm-despite the distance only being about 150km between the two! main reason? Cambodia hasnt heard of tarmac--or at least the majority of the country hasnt. Across the border at Poipet it was pretty horrendous-the place is Mafia run so consists of huge hotels and casinos amidst blatant poverty-it also stinks! we were chivvied about for age...
