Yesterday we went to Palm Beach aka 'Summer Bay' seriously the beach used in Home and Away. Was so excited except couldn't quite remember what it looked like as haven't watched it since it was dumped by ITV... but it all came flooding back as soon as we got there and even visited Al Stewerts Surf Shop. If we hadn't been taken there though on the trip you would never know it was Summer Bay was just a beach and was VERY windy!

So we chilled out on the beach all day. I learnt to Surf! Obviously still cannot actually surf but had a lesson (which was free on the trip) and did by best. Managed to stand up twice and had such a laugh. My bikini was very impractical however, and every time a fell off (which as I'm sure you can all imagine was frequently) my top was round my ears and my bottoms were round my ankles, not a good look. But I had a go and loved it just need to practice abit more and I'll be a pro. And anyway surfings all about looking cool so just going to stand on the beach holding my board ha ha. Then got the bug and went out body boarding... but to be fair was getting a bit dangerous and after getting wiped out on some narly waves (ha ha just made that up dont even know if it makes sense!) i gave in.

Kat meanwhile signed up for the volleyball competition. So when her team gets called she steps up ready to rip it up 'Top gun' style only to discover her other team mates (which were picked at random from alist everyone put their name on) were made up names. No way gutted!

Today we have done a little shopping and a little mooching and vistited the fish market. That was awesome decided to try loads of different seafood. Splashed out spent about 20 pound (between us!) but got a dozen oysters, lobster, prawns, squid, ocopus (erwgh gross!), fish, scollops and many more... was so cool will go back at some point and try some othe stuff though.
