Hello from Sydney! We arrived last night after an 8 hour flight from Singapore. Was one of the best flights ever though, slept loads watched a movie or 2 and had some well nice food mmmmm. We ate Salmon ala creme (wit woo) which was absolutely gorgeous and reaffirmed my faith in in-flight cuisine ha ha, followed by a choc ice and later ciabatta (sorry for spelling) toasty thing was yummy!

Our hostel in Sydney is called Wake Up and is modern and clean and pretty much central to the city so chuffed. We're in a dorm room with 4 other girls who seem lovely but a bit messy for me! Well why use a bin when theres a perfectly good floor to chuck crap on! And Kats bed is hilarious. Squeaks every time she breathes, it is so funny but dont think shes very amused after hours of trying to lay perfectly still.

Last night we went for a bit of a wander to get our bearings. Ended up at the local Irish bar 'Scruffy Murphys'. We were just chilling enjoying a few schonners of tooheys (ha ha dont even know if thats right!) when Kat just casually starts talking to her mate from Uni! How weird this guy who was on her course in Leeds in a bar at the other side of the world. Anyway got back about 2 and after actually nearly wetting myself at Kat trying to get into bed without moving and waking everyone up, we went to sleep.

Today we have been mooching around. Walked to the harbour and saw the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Very nice, pretty much as u imagine (except the Opera House is made of funny tiles) but the whole harbourfront area is very pretty. Then got a ferry to Darling Harbour which is near our hostel. Had a wander around, looks lovely beautiful parks and open areas we'll probably make a proper day of it later though.

So far so good....
