Over the last few days we have been doing our community project, which was helping to clear up an orphanage. The first day was really productive as there was so much rubbish to be cleared. However on the second day we had to teach the children to use bins that we had donated to them, and then there wasn't really much to do. We just ended up playing with the children, however I am sure they appreciated this. On the last day we were meant to make bamboo bins, also to be donated to the orphanage, however unfortunately this was easier said than done, and not many bins were actually made. By this point, me and a couple of other girls were getting a bit fed up with being stuck on the tour, restricted by meetings and yet left with far too much free time in a place where there is nothing to do. Sangkhlaburi is a small, non-touristy town which was good to visit, however we had two weeks scheduled here, and not much had been organised to do. So we decided to leave the group for the week, only missing out on a trek and a Market, and instead head down to the islands to do some hopping!! Today we did 'white water rafting' which only further convinced us we wouldn't be missing out, as this turned out only to be floating down a river in a boat!
