16th April- Went to see Lake Matheson, amazing veiws as its a very still lake and so has a perfect reflection of the mountains above. Then walked up to see the bottom of the Fox Glacier, very picturesgue and really nice weather for it!
17th April- Woke up very early as we were going on a day hiking up the Franz Joesph Glacier!! Very fun, spent the day clibing in ice caves and through ice tunnels. Very bruised from it and very surreal standing on a large piece of ice in the middle of a valley!!
18th April- Drove to Wanaka! Has a mooch about. Visited one of thier vineyards, prepared our dinner and then went to the Wanaka cinema which has sofas to sit on, its only small and they server gooey, hot, fresh baked cookies in the interval. We saw Mao's last dancer (very good film!!)
