I have safely arrived in New Zealand! Bumped into Steph and Beth at the airport while I was attempting to deal with my shampoo leaking in my rucksack, as it does everytime I fly! We got the bus to our hostel in Auckland, arrving around 7pm. We then had a mooch through Auckland as we went off to find a supermarket to get some dinner. Back at the hostel we began to attempt to plan our months trip and then went off to bed. In the morning we were collected from the hostel and taken to the campervan depo where we fille dout lots of paperwork, were given lots of instructions and directions and then sent on our way. First problem... campervan would not start!! So we were jump started out of the carpark hoping that this would not be a reacurring problem during the month.

We set off north, into Northland in th direction of Beth's uncle. On route we climbed mount Eden which offered lovely views over Auckland. We then carried on north passed Auckland and along the west coastal road. We stopped the night in a little picnic area in paparoa. Our camper is very nice and very cosy for three people.

Today we woke fairly early and then drove up to Dargaville and went to a nice beach by there called Baylys beach. We climbed up the sand dunes to then find after we were not meant to climb them as it is destroying the dunes...oops!!! We then met Beth's auntie and uncle andwere taken to their home. We have been well fed, watered and looked after here. They live righ on the edge of the river, its beautiful!! Tonight we hav proper beds which we need to take full advantage of and then tomorrow they are doing a big barbeque in honour of Beths arrival!!! NICE!!
