hello from bangkok

well i started at birmingham airport all optomistic and chilled. after the full-on flight, missing a days sleep and still having a stinking cold i felt like s***e when i finally arrived at me hotel 8.30pm sat night. all i did was have a bath and sleep!! i was too tired to get up for breakfast too so left the hotel around 11.00. ive just been done koasan road and its choatic and colourful. ive made my first purchase, theres loads of lovely turquise jewelry...oh and saw my first cat, just sitting near a stall. i resisted and walked straight past. i met a german couple at bangkok airpot who are on the same tripas me and today met a girl from new zealamd who is sharing my room from today. im meeting up with the rest of the group at 6pm tonight and the trip starts tomorrow. im off to thehotel astheres a lovely little pool outside so might catch some rays before tonight. im obviously a newby tourist as im pale as a ghost and keep getting harrased by tuk tuk men at every street corner. ive been advised to not take them up on a ride offer as there a bloody rip off!! so bye for now. and mother dont worry im fine and its safe, theres loads of people on there own. xx
