Returning to the madness to BA after our chillout session in La Isolina we found ourselves amongst familiar faces as we all met up for Creamfields. The only noticeable absentees were Dave (fell in love in La Paloma) and Murray (left it too late to change his flight) - muppets!! Bally directed us to a fantastic steak at Goya, it transpired we would eat there 3 days out of the next 4, it was that good!
10th November had arrived, the day of Creamfields. The hostel kindly booked a minibus to take us there, which in the end took us hours as it went all round the houses collecting a lot of excitable young folk, but finally we were in. We thought the English were good at queuing; the Argentinians have it down to a fine art. They queued for their laminated stage listings (we opted for the free unlaminated version given away at the door) then they queued to get their t-shirt, then they queued to hand their coats in and that was even before they queued to get their beer tokens. Obviously we headed straight for the beer queue.
As it was a festival like set up we found a rendevouz point and tucked into the Vodka & Speeds (Red Bull basically) before heading to the main stage for LCD Soundsystem. Things started getting a little hazy from there but we all danced away to the Chemical Brothers (amazing light show!) & 2Many DJs before suddenly realising how cold it actually was. As is the way with festivals everybody had managed to lose everybody else and being the nearly 30s that we are we decided to call it a night at 4am, early by Argentinian standards.
Set on visiting the Delta Islands of Tigre for a few days before Sharon arrived, our plans were dashed by the constant wind and rain that hit BA, so we decided to stay put and eat more steak!
