We left on coach at 7 am to begin our Castaways tour and our journey to Halong Bay. I am so unbelievably excited to see this place, a collection of around 3000 floating islands and one of the 7 wonders. After around 5 hours on multiple coaches, buses and boats we sailed through the breathtaking Halong Bay - beers in hands - towards Castaway Island (a privately owned party beach in the middle of Halong Bay).

Upon arrival on the island we were served a grand feast of a Vietnamese buffet lunch and then were left to relax, drink and take in the magnificent surroundings for the rest of the afternoon. I had the loveliest day sitting on the beach with great people, good music and drinks - what more could you ask for on a private island! I had the most hilarious experience tubing which consisted of me and three other girls holding onto this flat circular floating platform which was then pulled along high speed by a boat! Of course i fell in but the water was fantastic and I honestly couldn't believe the surroundings I was doing this in.

We drank all day and watched the most glorious sunset which is just indescribable so you will have to see for yourself in the photos I put up!
After a much needed Vietnamese buffet dinner the party kicked off - beginning with a drinking game involving all of us on the island (maybe around 80-90 people), which got very messy on top of the drinking games we had been playing all day in anycase! A spirit mixed drink here in Vietnam is the equivalent of £1 which is just ridiculous and makes for a very very fun night out. All the tables of the bar were pushed together and literally became a platform dance floor. I met people on the coach who I ended up sharing a bungalow with (and Natalie) and all throughout the night, we returned to our hut to play drinking games - which eventually everyone was too incapacitated to do anyway which was so funny I think I actually cried with laughter. It was SUCH an amazing evening that I never wanted it to end. The start to a great weekend.
