After a bit of shopping we got on a hop-on-hop-off open top bus tour of Cusco. It was a great and easy way to see the city, starting with the centre and all the old architecture it features with the local festivities occurring as the morning went by, and then taking us up into the surrounding mountains for views over the town from various view points. We were also able to pass by some inca ruins up in the Cusco mountains which were really interesting to see.
Back in the city centre we went for lunch in one of the cafes with a balcony overlooking the main square. I felt so content just sitting in the sun watching the parade! Liv and I can never seem to get enough of shopping so we did some more browsing and then went back to our guest house to use the wifi and organise ourselves for our trek the following day.
After some dinner we went to a meeting regarding our trek and met the two other people we would be spending the next few days with. The Canadian couple, Lynn and Kev, were lovely people and classic Canadians! With an early start ahead we got to bed after the meeting excited for the few days we had awaiting us.
