Having had an early-ish night I finished the book I was reading, "Marching Powder", which is a first hand account of the Bolivian jail system written by a guy named Thomas McFadden - a Brit who was imprisoned there for almost 5 years on drug trafficking charges. Medellin is a picturesque city built completely within a valley of mountains, and offers an opportunity for one of the best paragliding spots in the world. We arrived in warm Medellin early in the morning and travelled to Poblado, an extremely nice area where Happy Buddha Boutique Hostel was based.
