I had a lovely breakfast on a restaurant terrace overlooking the ocean and all the fishing boats; Labuan Bajo is a tiny fishing village with views of all the Komodo Islands so it's really beautiful from the beach or pier.

For the rest of the day I went to Bintang Flores Hotel and used their luxury pool, swimming and sunbathing and relaxing. The hotel was gorgeous with an interesting infinity pool overlooking the sea. I read my book, boosted my tan and had a lovely nap by the pool enjoying the time to myself and a day of doing nothing.

Back at the dive shop the evening started with drinks on the balcony and talking to everyone, such a great bunch of people! We all went to the Lounge Skybar to catch the end of a talk on nudibranch and get some good, and I really did have a lovely evening chatting away and laughing a lot. I feel such an urge to learn another language - in this town it seems everyone is bi or multi lingual. It's truly incredible everyone speaking two or three languages completely fluently. That will be my next achievement; I will learn to speak another language this year.
