Today we got up nice and early for our flight to Ko Samui, we had our last breakfast and chat with Mr.Kay(The nice old man who booked our trips and flight!) He was really friendly even if he was a little hard to understand, but he gave us a nice hassle free stay at our best hotel yet!
We had a nice good smooth flight down here, and even bumped into a french couple who we had met from our cookery course, that we got chatting to again. arriving in Koh Samui we felt like we were finally on holiday, this was further implemented by the actual airport which was more like a beach hut hotel! we were both very impressed!
We got a taxi to lawana resort(or so we thought!) for 400 baht, only to realise they had ripped us off on the distance and even dropped us at the wrong place even though we had showed them the address!!! We were both very very annoyed but the friendly hotel staff arranged a tuk tuk for us to the right resort for half the price. this did backfire a little as he dropped us off 300 metres away in the boiling hot sun with our heavy bags! (Ar*ehole!!)
we eventually arrived at the intended resort and were pleased with our choice, the room is lovely;a four poster bed, much to emma's delight!(even if it is only made out of bamboo!) We decided to take a stroll down the beach, yes i went on the sand!! even though it did hurt both our feet. on the walk back to our hotel we stopped off for i nice cocktail overlooking the sea in cool swinging chairs.
After a much needed shower, we headed back to the fisherman's village for dinner, which was by candle light on the beach, very romantic! we even both decided to try our first sea food of our trip! not bad i must say!
