Hi.
We left Albany on Tuesday morning, and headed to the small township of Denmark, we drove down to Wilson Head. Here there are amazing costal views as the Wilson Inlet meets with the Southern Ocean.
From here we drove along the coast to Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks. A wonderful, long, white sandy beach, lapped by crystal clear waters. We spent as much time as we could spare here, before heading on our way to the Valley of the Giants.
We embarked on the Valley of the Giants tree top walk; a brilliant walkway that soars gently upwards, 40 metres, into the foliage of the ancient tingle trees. After the tree top walk, we took ourselves along the Ancient Empire Boardwalk. This is a ground level boardwalk that winds its way through the ancient forest, and at points through the trunks of some massive hollowed out trees.
From here we drove to the tiny town of Walpole for a spot of lunch, pretty much the only thing you can get in Walpole.
Then we hit the road again, and made our way to Pemberton, our overnight stop. The entire town is on one street and little over 1km long. We checked into the Best Western Hotel and enjoyed a great meal at Cafe Mazz, overlooking the forest.
