Wednesday 28th February, we were on the move again, we caught the evening bus out of Newcastle and headed to Forster, 3 hours up the coast. About half way we had a driver change, as the driver had no clue what he was doing he stalled the coach. Lee and some guys decided to push the coach to try and bump it - it worked - ye ha!
We arrived in Forster, late, at about 9pm, and made our way to the Forster Dolphin Lodge YHA. This hostel was a major let down, the staff were unhelpful and the accommodation was pants! We re-arranged our plans and shortened our stay to 2 nights.
During our stay in Forster we explored its beaches and town, and were equally unimpressed by both. We walked to the neighbouring town of Tuncurry, home to 9 mile beach, here the beaches were great, but the town was much the same as Forster. The thing that made our stay here worthwhile, was the abundance of dolphins coming into the bay between Forster and Tuncurry. We spent most of our time here watching the dolphins and soaking up the sun.
We leave Forster at 8pm, for our next stop Port Macquarie - hopefully back to civilisation.
Love Lee and Emma
