G'day Guys!!

On Saturday 17th, we escaped the city and headed off, with all our stuff, on a jam packed bus to Bondi. We arrived in Bondi in the early afternoon and checked into our new home - the Bondi Beach House YHA. We were soon off for a look around, and set off on the costal route to Bondi Beach. Our first glimpse of the beach was amazing!! It was everything we'd hoped for, long sandy beach and glistening blue sea.

Sunday, we decide to make the Bondi to Coogee costal walk, it takes you along the coastline, across a few beaches and around some great snorkelling bays, before eventually you arrive at Coogee beach. It is said to take 2 hrs, so we loaded up with sunscreen and water, and set off in the sunshine!

Quite a few Aussies we've spoken to have said they prefer Coogee to Bondi, so we have to say we were slightly disappointed when we finally got there, because as the beach is very nice, it is no Bondi! We spent a few hours exploring Coogee and chilling on the beach, before making the long trek all the way back to Bondi.

The next 3 days in Bondi were spent on the beach and exploring the area. We hired body boards from the hostel (for free) one day, and spent about 5 hours on the beach, in and out of the sea.

We really enjoyed the time we spent in Bondi, which was definitely helped by the brilliant weather we had!!
