Merry Christmas! Up at 5 am to get on the shuttle to get to the airport. Had to change from the domestic to the International at Brisbane, nearly missed my flight as the shuttle was late, just made it on! Flight actually quiet busy for christmas day but I managed to bag 4 seats together so did have a good sleep. Crummy films and the eight hours really did drag. Bit of a boring one, packed up ready to leave Australia which was quiet sad. Brought some books and magazines for the journey, did some shopping, got all of the photos off of my camera, sunbathed, etc.

Travelled back to Cairns. Went to a beautiful Gorge and everyone went for a swim in the cold but crystal clear water. Learnt all about how women are not supposed to play the digeridoo! Went to Port Douglas on the way back and had some chips and a wonder about the shops, brought a pretty necklace as well as a few souvenirs. Arrived back in Cairns by half 6 and finished off my book, had a glass of wine and sat by the pool.

Amazing day! Up at 7 to go on diving trop. The company was amazing. I was a bit nervous as I hadn't been diving in a while but they were really good with me and I was the only qualified diver on board so it was just me and the dive master going down. Up early as being picked up at 7. Said goodbye to Claire which was hard. Felt car sick all of the way up there, maybe too much wine last night. Went on a cruise up the Daintree river and saw loads of mangroves and even a wild crocodile. Met a lovely woman who is a lecturer at Cardiff university.
