Went to the Vietnam embassy in the morning to have my visa processed. There was a major problem though as the forms had apparently been sent to Sydney not KL. Up early, suprised how well I slept considering the room didn't even have air con but i actually woke up cold, must be adjusting! Had breakfast in the cafe underneath the guesthouse and had a good chat to Tony about all the dangers in Malaysia. Got in a taxi to get back to the bus terminal and there got on the next bus to KL, only 2 hours away and 12RN less than 2 pound. Arrived at midday ish and had good fun trying to find the hotel. Up at a ridiculous time. Headed down to the MRT and then realised that the stupid machine won't accept anything over a $2 note. Luckily found a lovely man who could see that I was close to tears at 5 in the morning and paid for me. I think he is the only nice person I have met in Singapore in the last 3 days. Up at a reasonable time. Went back to the waterfront to explore a bit more of the bits that I missed out on yesterday. Really nice along there and lots of entertainment and restaurants as well as street stalls selling satay skewers for 5p. Walked thorough Chinatown and went to another smaller mosque as well as the Sri Mariamman temple and the Thian Hock Keng temple which were amazing. Ended up filling a memory card in two days! Boxing day! Really good day. Walked for miles. Went to Little India and had a wander around the streets taking in all of the new smells and tastes as well adjusting to the bloody humidity. You feel like you are constantly breathing in water. Went to Raffles to have a nose around and nearly brought a beautiful painting but I have only just paid to ship a load of stuff home so I can't afford to send any more. Japanese for lunch.
