Hannah here :) Slept terribly last night! There were a load of Mexicans partying on the roof until 6am... not the best start to the day. We ended up getting out of bed and showering at around 5, and decided to take advantage of the early start to the day.
It was still dark by the time we headed out to the metro and on to the bus terminal. After an hour long ride on a rather shaky bus with a smashed windscreen we arrived at Teotihuacan. This is an ancient Mayan city just north of what is now Meico City. We beat all the tourist and there were only a few others there when we got onto the site. We also beat the heat which was a huge relief.
Having had no sleep and no breakfast the large amount of walking required wasn´t easy, but it was fantastic all the same! We climbed right to the top of the sun temple where the view was amazing. There we got talking to a fellow Brit (one of the first we´d encountered) who is a music producer at EMI looking for new tallent. Seemed like a bit of an arrogant pain to be honest.
As we got there so early we were done before the return buses and so had to head into town to get on. The heat meant we had no appetite so picked up some mango for lunch on the way back to the hostel... so tasty.
