Went up to Monte Alban yesterday which was amazing, huge ruins and amazing views. Paked everything up today as taking an overnight bus to San Cristobal de las Casas. Feeling a bit rough so spent most of the day at the hostel but it is so nice and friendly with more people to talk to than in Mexico City. We woke really early but had a good nights rest. Had a wander around the town and found a few interesting markets. Brought some mango and apricots for lunch which were really juicy. Climbed up a lot of steps to the top of the hill from which we had an amazing view of the whole basin surrounded my mountains. Thunderstorm in the evening but we got hungry so headed back to the Zocolo for some food and bumped into a parade of dancers, a band and a child letting...

Just a quick post for today. We left mexico city! The trip to Oaxaca took about 7 hours as we got stuck in a bit of traffic in the mountains. At least the first class coaches are super comfy, and not expensive when you compare it to travel in the UK! We got to the hostel we´d found online and were glad to find they had beds (it was raining and we didn´t much fancy hunting round).
