Travelled from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukvillein the morning, arriving mid afternoon. Had some lunch at a place on the beach as we were starving Sat on the beach afterwards and got hounded by all these kids selling bracelets and wanting to give you manicures. One girl made me a friendship bracelet for free, she was 13 and had been doing this since she was 9 to pay for her to go to school. She wanted to one day be a doctor.

Came back to the hotel which is a bit more basic than the other rooms we had been in but it was really close to the beach and I thought the rooms were good, others I think are used to 5 star luxury. Dinner at a restaurant up the road, seafood platter which was incredible. Squid, baramundi, barracuda and some of the biggest prawns I have ever seen. Had a few beers and then went to a bar on the beach but the music was so loud that we moved to another bar in the end. This bar proved to be another big mistake but of a different sort. Pints of beer were $0.25 and buckets were $2. Lets just say I had to be carried home and I woke up with glow paint all over my bed in the morning!
