On Sunday when we arrived in Burgos we headed to Cathedral Square. It was abuzz with locals and pilgrims having lunch, enjoying the glorious spring weather. We watched as pilgrims arrived after a days walking, being awestruck by the beautiful cathedral, greeting other pilgrims, who have shared their journey so far, with hugs of joy to be here. The last time we were in Burgos was September 2016, when we finished our first stage of the Camino de Santiago. We started in SJPP and walked 300k. We left many people in Burgos who continued their journey to Santiago. A few we have kept in touch with and who will understand our need to complete the Camino. Caught up with friends and family. Uncle Robbie for lunch and coffee. Phil and Issy for delicious dinner at Chin Chin. Our dear Camino buddy Andrew Hill. So great to see him a couple of times and talk about things other than our feet!
