Arrived Rio and got a taxi to Casa Cool Beans - in Santa Teresa. Very “cool” B&B in a old area in the hills. It is very steep, stairs and cobbled streets everywhere. We settled in and headed out for a local dinner. Everyone warns about Rio and security. DON’T wear any jewellery, watches, don’t display your cellphone, wallet - basically keep it basic and don’t look like a tourist - who are targets.

Off to RIO. Two days at sea and the end of our cruise. Temp again warming up. Halloween on our last night. Of course the Yanks dressed up and it was a fun last night.

Next port - Punta del Este. We weren’t that enthused but on shore took a local tour. It is a lovely spot. It’s where the wealthy of BA have their holiday homes - amazing!

Great tour - visit to a interesting villa come art gallery then an amazing lunch on the pier.
