We arrived in Khao Sok around 1pm after our mammoth journey. First impressions were that we were staying in the jungle! There was literally nothing around except a few bungalows and restaurants. The day we got there we were knackered so we chilled out and had a walk around then some dinner at our bungalows.
The place we stayed was very simple and just a bungalow on stilts! We had a lovely view of the national park and a great big spider living in a web outside our room much to my delight! (About the size of my hand!!) we had an early night and woke up early the next day for elephant trekking.. This was very fun, me and rhos went together and Emma had her own elephant. We had the tallest one! You also got to feed the elephants afterwards. That afternoon we went canoeing down the main lake in the national park, two Thai guys rowed us down and it was very peaceful! Except for when I saw the water spiders (which jumped) and I had my head in my hands for part of the journey. It was very pretty though and was saw some beautiful sites!
The next day we were going to get bikes and cycle through the national park but luckily ran into some people who told us you can't ride through it because its a proper trek! We were grateful for this afterwards. So we decided to do our own trek through and see some of the waterfalls. This was an experience and probably the most exercise I've done in about 6 months! It was very difficult terrain and at points we were climbing down trees etc! Very knackered after this day!
The next day we were travelling to krabi for a chill out time which I was looking forward to!
