We set off on a mission to drink as much German beer as possible, after all were in the home of Oktoberfest. We found a cute little cafe off the Main Street a bit and went for a beer. The waiter took ages to serve us and then it took even longer to pay and he got mad at us for not tipping, sorry buddy but I have the same job it isn't that hard. Well technically I'm unemployed but I have had the same job. Then we went to the Hofbrauhaus. The one in Melbourne is tiny, but this was so big. The football was on which was wouldn't know about so the whole place was full of people and the only seat we could find was outside. We waited at least 15 minutes to be served because there was only one waiter outside. I couldn't believe all the work he had to do, he would carry at least 8 jugs of 1 litre beer at a time. We also has a pretzel, not the biggest fan personally. Then we went to a little German pub for some food and ordered some sausages (duh what else would you eat in Germany) with roast potato, meat loaf and what looked like a kilo of caramelised onion. Safe to say I can't wait for an Australian BBQ again. We went back to the hostel for happy hour and I met a guy there and convinced him to hire me in his bait and tackle shop when I hate fishing so probably going to have to turn that job down. Then we went to another bar later and a guy brought us the worst tequila shot I've ever had, I felt like my soul was on fire from that shot. Afterwards we had a beer that was brown, quite strange because it wasn't Guineas but still pretty nice anyway. Eventually we got sick of walking around so much because all the bars are so far apart and headed home to sleep.
