Not updated it for a while sorry, was just busy putting lots of photos on instead.
San pedro is amazing, one of my most favourite places i think. we arrived in the early morning on tuesday. booked lots of tours to different things. that evening we went to the valley of the moons. got to walk down through the valley then just before sunset we had to walk up this giant sand dune, very hard work. we sat at the top of this cliff and waited for the sun to set behind all the hills. the landscape turned all pinky and orange when the sun set.
the next day was the salt plains. a full day trip to some flamingoe lakes and volcanoes and the salt plains. visited some villages along the way but i think they were to just waste time.
the next day which was thursday was getting up very early at 3 and travelling to the worlds highest geysers. got there at 6 and the whole site was eery and misty. bubbling pools of boiling water and then ones which shot out steam everywhere. it was sooo cold, below freezing, wish the geysers gave off some heat. there was a swimming pool heated by the geysers.
we´ve had quite alot of problems with buses as they are so busy with christmas. managed to get a bus to iqueque. not the direction we wanted to go but nevermind. so we are stuck here till boxing day.
