I slept until about 10 am today. Ray woke up at 1 am in claustrophobia because of the small sleeping space and could not sleep again at a couple of hours so he sat and watched UFC. I let Ray sleeping so long as he could, so mean while I watched 'Men in Black'. When Ray finally woke up we made breakfast/lunch and got ready to go to the beach. The weather can not quite decide if its going to good or bad so it is best to use the one chance we have to get some more color. We have traveled for 3 weeks now and there has only been bikini weather 3 days of the 3 weeks, while they have 38 degrees and sunny weather in Perth. Guess where we'd rather be.
We drove around the park and took some pictures of how it looks here. As I said yesterday, this is one of my favorite places in Australia.
Shortly there after, we went back to Squeaky Beach to be licked by the sun. Which was a paradise yesterday was now a graveyard for birds. There were dead birds all over. Disgusting.
We found a place where there was not any birds, and lay there for about 30 minutes before we went to another beach near the campsite. There was warmer there so we stayed there a little while. The beach had the softest sand I have ever touched. It was heavenly. Suddenly, an alarm went of (almost like a bomb alarm) around us and the people disappeared from the beach back to the parking lots. When we came up with the information to ask them about the alarm and tell them about all the dead birds, we got there 10 minutes late.
Back at the campingsite, I began to cook dinner (pancakes with bacon) stright away. It was very difficult to make pancakes in a frying pan where everything stuck on it so I had to make it in a saucepan instead. They were not particularly pretty, but they tasted good. We have just seen at 'Blood Diamont' and are taking an early night for tomorrow we shall continue to Canberra with a stop in the Snowy River.
Missing today: warm quilt and a good pillow, chocolate, my computer, a real bed and a bath.
Did you know that Australia once consisted of 300 different countries with 750 different Languages?
