Yet another early morning, but we guess we shouldn't complain.. We left our temporary home in Sydney for the last time, our "lives" on our backs and walked to the bus stop. Went to Circular Quay where we were picked up by our bus driver "Eminem" also know as Matt. Really funny guy.
First he took us all to a small town called Leura for a coffee stop, then we went straight to the Blue Mountains for our valley walk. It's a really beautiful place called Jamison valley, where many aboriginal tribes dwelled and later on convicts and their families worked as miners. The walk down took about 1 hour with some spectacular views of the blue mountains, the three sisters, rain forests and waterfalls. Then we took the worlds steepest train back to the top which took about 40sec haha!
Time for lunch by Govetts Leap lookout and then back for a closer look at the three sisters. They are three rocks that stick up on the cliff edge. They are called the three sisters because one of the aboriginal dream times stories says that they were turned to stone by their farther who was saving them from a mythical creature. But apparently there were lots of different stories among the tribes.
Our last stop before returning to Sydney was a quick one. We just had a look at a rock carving of a kangaroo with a spear in it. Letting the aborigines know where they could find kangaroos to hunt.
We got dropped of at the train station and took a train to the airport. Just waiting for our flight to Melbourne now!
