Today was the day we would discover Ulu Watu but it didn't start very well. We hired a moped and took off to the town to find an ATM. On the way we stoped by this store to ask for the way. When Krista was about to turn the moped around so we could hit the road again she turn on the gas by mistake so the moped went BAM into the shopdesk made of glass. Krista fell to the ground and she is ok, just a few scratchers, thank god! But the moped front light broke and a few scratchers there as well. We had to pay 700 Inr to the owner so she could buy a new table and a shopdesk. She was really freaked out, not mad at all, the opposite. She felt sorry for us, she gave us water, juice and even took pictures of us. So it could have been worse, Krista is alive and I'm really glad for that! Then we hit the road again in search for breakfast/lunch, the time was about 12.30 pm this time.
After lunch we returned to the beach we were at yesterday so Emelie could take some pictures. We got soaked! Trying to capture the waves in little caves is a tricky business! But thankfully nothing important got wet..
Then we drove along the coast to the next beach padang. It was very nice, cool staircase leading down to the beach. In the distance we saw another beach, we tried to drive there but ended up driving in a big circle back towards where we live. That didn't matter though, there was a place on the cliff top we wanted to check out that Colt had told us about. It was very cool,
Then it was time for lunch, Emelie really misses Swedish food, she had a beef burger with chips (the closest thing to Swedish on the menu).
We had another look at the beach then went back to the viewpoint to watch the sunset. Very nice, but not as pretty as on Trawanga. Then we returned back to our hostel. The thing Krista had been dreading, cause that's where we'd rented the moped. But it wasn't too bad they were mostly worried about her and asked where it had happened, very laud back people :) the total was 300inr so all in all (including the shop) about 900sek.
Not sure what were gonna do now. Either take it easy or go have some dinner :)

Juliette you have to have to go out there and blog. But how to do that wuiohtt coming across as blatant self-promotion has always been troubling. Just the few points Krista gave at the end made the column worth reading. Thanks for the good information. Now I have to go out andcheck out the book.
