HOME TIME! Into a taxi at 7:15am, checked in, found our departure gate, breakfast at Starbucks (only option around Gate 27!) and we were in the air on our way home, no delays this time.

Let me just say, 10 hours is a long time to sit ALL DAY! We passed the time watching movies - Pearl Harbor is 3 hours, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is 2 hours, Soul Surfer (great true story set in Kauai, we recognised lots of places!) is 1 1/2 hours... and there was STILL time for several episodes of Hawaii Five-0!

On landing in Sydney we discussed whether we should just catch another flight back to Hawaii - the deciding factor was that none of us wanted to spend another 10 hours going back just yet!

A huge thanks to Uncle Mike for picking us up at the airport. Our dog Ellie, and cats, Tiger and Lily, were all happy to see us (Ellie far more so than Lily, who displayed the typical cat aloofness).

Its great to be home, we've had an AMAZING trip and enjoyed every minute of it - grumpy kid meltdowns, broken toe, and sore feet from lots of walking included! We surfed, we hung out with sharks, enjoyed the fabulous beaches, got caught in the rain, shopped 'til we dropped... and it was everything we'd hoped it would be. Aloha and mahalo Hawaii, we will be back!
