Up at 7am for breakfast and showers (the boys complained as expected), and over the road to the rental car companies to see what they had available. We ended up with a Chrysler 200 sedan from National Car Rentals, we gave serious thought to the convertible but decided to save a few dollars instead.
We headed straight up the freeway towards Waikele, where the shopping outlet stores are. We arrived at 9:45am and headed straight for Sports Authority, where we proceeded to spend a ridiculous amount of money on new running shoes, workout clothes and sports equipment. Still cheaper than back home! We dropped all that in the car, then found more shoes at Famous Footwear. And more shoes at the Converse store…
We also raided Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Levis and of course a game store. Six and a half hours after we arrived (and quite a few dollars less in our pockets!) we'd finally visited everywhere we wanted, with surprisingly little protest from the kids - could have had something to do with them getting a whole bunch of new stuff as well :) Leo even said thank you!
We drove back to Ilikai and unloaded our haul, we went with the valet parking for $28 per day rather than the $7 for 10 hours at the secure parking next door - we couldn't be bothered with the timing to make sure we only stayed 10 hours!
After unpacking everything and taking a few pics (as you do!) we headed down to the pool to ease our (ok maybe only mine!) aching feet. Our usual easy dinner, then on to organising stuff for our early departure to the North Shore tomorrow for SHARKS! Did I mention we're going to check out SHARKS?? Found a Shrek 2 DVD in the cupboard, no sharks in the movie of course, but pretty much any movie could get us in the mood for SHARKS anyway lol
