Day 359 (Friday 28th November 08) Did some more study before we left and headed up to Tauranga. Through Te Puke, the Kiwi Capital of the world and then a nice place called Mount Maunganui which reminded us of Manly in Sydney. Day 358 (Thursday 27th November 08) Back into the centre of Taupo and then up to the lookout. Made our way to Rotorua. Had been recommended by a couple of people along the way to stop at Kerosene Creek which is a free thermal river and pool. Consulted the Lonely Planet as it isn't signposted until you get there and managed to find it. Day 357 (Wednesday 26th November 08) Em woke up at about 1am feeling very sick! She hoped she could just be sick and go back to sleep but no chance as she soon started to feel much worse and we knew we would have to get on our way and try and find somewhere there was a toilet. Day 356 (Tuesday 25th November 08) Our clothes still soaked and it still pouring still so nothing was drying. Had to check in for the boat at 7am so waited in the queue for the boat hoping that there wouldn't be any rain when we arrived in the North Island! Day 355 (Monday 24th November 08) Off to do our food shopping at Countdown and then fill up with petrol. Went to find somewhere to use the internet and Skype. A very wet day! Left Nelson and headed along towards Picton stopping in Havelock, the green shelled mussel capital of the world.
