Hello All! We have arrived in Girona en route to Barcelona. Had a bit of a nightmare journey here, was dark and we couldn´t find accomodation to start with so we ended up in another hotel (cheap though)! We just missed a train to Barcelona from the border so had to think on our feet on where would be a good place to head for. Met 2 English ladies who told us Girona was a big town and we shouldn´t have too much trouble getting somewhere to stay. Got a taxi to the one hostel and it was booked! The language barrier is v hard, especially here as they speak Catalan, a different version of Spanish. Booked into that hostel tonight, and then setting off early tomorrow for Barcelona. After our mammoth journey through France, we´ve decided to not see Daniel and Kisha, its just too far (they were v understanding tho - thanks guys). We´re just waiting to hear on our accomodation for Barcelona, but the 2 ladies said everyone speaks English and there are plenty of places to stay - hurrah!

We are both well. Dan loved skiing, I took some convincing but eventually made it down the piste! The train travel is really easy - the best bit I´d say, the Interrail tickets are worth their weight in gold. France is gorgeous, the mountains are just stunning.

Even the chateau (building site pretty much) was fab to stay in, bit chilly and dusty but was good. Carl speaks v good french and was brill going to a local bar where everyone was v friendly considering we don´t speak much french (or anything for that matter). Had some really nice food with Carl, and he came skiing too, think he enjoyed it more than me!

Anyways, lunchtime now so we´ll be off and hope to be in touch soon.
